The Punjab Education department is fully geared up to conduct the first ever Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) on July 3 for which 314 examination centres have been set up in all the 20 districts in the state.
The test is being conducted in two parts – for those who have to teach Class 1-5 students and for those to impart lessons to Class 6-8 students, a Punjab Education department spokesman said. As many as 1,13,604 candidates will take the first test and 1,39,480 candidates will appear in the second test.
